JUNIOR DESIGNER

Grisoro Designs is looking for thoughtful and flexible Junior Designer to join our small team. The Junior Designer will work in a collaborative environment with the Lead and Principal Designer on residential projects throughout the entire process from concept to installation.

DUTIES

  • Sourcing of new, bespoke, and vintage furniture, fabric, lighting, art, finishes and construction materials.

  • Creation of layouts and elevation for client proposals.

  • Assist with preparation of FF&E client presentations.

  • Develop FF&E and construction materials schedules.

  • Order tracking and vendor correspondence for multiple projects.

  • Communication with vendors, manufacturers, and retailers.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years experience at a residential interiors or architecture firm.

  • Desire to continuously increase professional knowledge, and ability to adapt in an evolving role.

  • Desire to learn all aspects of the design process including, concepts, schematic design, construction documentation, constriction/project management, installation.

  • Must have strong AutoCAD and Google Drive (spreadsheets, presentations) abilities.

  • Proficiency in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) preferred.

  • Familiarity with project management software, Studio Designer, Design Manager, or similar.

DESIGN INTERN

Grisoro Designs is looking for detail-oriented candidates eager to learn the full design process. The Design Intern should be flexible and enthusiastic about growing within a young company.

DUTIES

  • Assist with vendor research and sourcing of new, bespoke, and vintage furniture, fabric, lighting, art, finishes and construction materials.

  • Assist with creation of layouts and elevation for client proposals.

  • Assist with tracking and processing purchase orders for vendors and clients.

  • Communication with vendors, manufacturers, and retailers.

  • Assist with FF&E and construction materials schedule.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • The ideal candidate is someone with prior internship experience looking to transition into a designer role.

  • Desire to continuously acquire professional knowledge, and ability to adapt in an evolving role.

  • Desire to learn all aspects of the design process including, concepts, schematic design, construction documentation, constriction/project management, installation.

  • Strong AutoCAD and Google Drive (spreadsheets, presentations) abilities required.

  • Adobe suite (photoshop, InDesign) and SketchUp proficiency preferred.
